Week, 5 hey? Woah. My attention this week has been focused on Comm Rev hence my research stuff has kind of suffered in this area.
The library session this week was fantastic. I always used to skip library sessions in undergrad because I thought I knew everything. I was wrong. EndNote – this is amazing, why did I not know about this earlier?
The discussion on strengths and weaknesses was also quite useful in making me think I need to get my ‘A into G’. My strengths are in the planning and writing stages – the ‘doing’. My weaknesses lie in the re-reading and editing of my work and also in the getting started. I guess I’m good in the middle when everything’s underway, but I’m not so flash at the start and end. Hence – I will start now! (Well… as soon as I get my Comm Rev essay done) I think a good way to do this will be to organise myself first. Get folders set, download EndNotes, Register for databases, etc etc. Having a neat outlook will motivate me to get onto it. As far as finishing it goes, luckily both my brothers’ partners are editors, although one will be dealing with a newborn around the same time I finish, and one will be planning a wedding, I’m hoping they’ll be able to help me out with that side of things.
